Healthsign Wins First Prize in Innovation World Cup Pitch Contest in Silicon Valley, California
The only medical grade cuffless blood pressure wearable that doesn’t require calibration with other devices
Today, at the Wearable Technologies AG conference in Mountainview, California, Healthsign won the Innovation World Cup Pitch Competition for their multiparameter bio monitor. Healthsign won the competition amongst a field of 600 global participants and 11 finalists during the Wearable Technologies conference this evening. With this win, Healthsign has entered the Wearable Technologies Innovation World Cup Hall of Fame.
Healthsign’s winning pitch was given by VP Business Development Mr. Tim Skelly at the Computer History Museum in Mountainview this evening, with CEO Mr. Atul Garg, Chief Scientist Dr. Saif Ahmad, and DSP Engineer Ms. Matana Hendrickson in attendance.
The Healthsign smart wristband is a wearable medical monitoring device that will significantly reduce cost to the healthcare system while improving patient outcomes through better health monitoring data. Equipped with innovative optical sensor technology and proprietary algorithms, Healthsign’s multi-patented wristband is the first cuffless blood pressure monitor that does not require calibration with other devices. In addition to blood pressure, the device also measures other important vital signs including blood oxygen saturation, temperature, respiration rate, and heart rate.
Targeted for long term care facilities, hospitals, clinics, and remote monitoring of chronic disease patients, the Healthsign smart wristband reduces the effort for health care professionals to acquire patient vital signs and monitor their changes over periods of time. With cloud-based data storage and alerts, the smart wristband will analyze the streaming arterial pulse wave and other data, and notify the user, loved ones, and healthcare providers when results indicate potential health deterioration.
“Under development for the last four years, our plan is to complete our FDA and Health Canada regulatory submissions by Q2 of 2025 and launch the first version later in the year,” said Healthsign CEO Mr. Atul Garg. VP Business Development at Healthsign, Mr. Tim Skelly said, “The Wearable Technologies pitch competition was a great platform for us to raise awareness about our device and show the industry the progress that we have made over the last few years.” Healthsign Chief Scientist Dr. Saif Ahmad said, “I am elated at the success and coming to fruition of this exciting new technology and would like to thank all team members who have been working tirelessly on various aspects of the device including embedded programming, analog engineering, DSP & AI algorithms, cyber security, and mobile app development.”
